“Will the size and scale and playability be like that of a Jakks figure?” is the million dollar question that’s hitting the head of a typical WWE Jakks action figure collector.A lot of people have their own viewpoints to why it will or will not be close to the Jakks Style.
Everyone looks differently, everyone has his own choice, Mattel should have theirs to.
On a different standpoint, a business standpoint… why would they wanna take the risk, the risk that their very first few figure launch to becoming shelfwarmers, since they don’t complement to the large strong army of The Jakks Style of a collector’s collection?
Unless they have quite a relatively large part of the roster launched all at the same time(official figure release and prototype images release), giving a collector the psychological satisfaction to jump straight to picking up a Mattel WWE without much consideration. The collector will definitely feel this, “We are also getting a complete roster with Mattel as like when we were with Jakks.”
The only possibility for a collector to pick up a Mattel’s very first series with no reference or promises to a more convincing lineups in the upcoming series would only be this… the figure is simply fantastic. It stands out alone without any complements from other figures.
Will Mattel give the most complete action figure with its own unique accessories for that individual characters? On a business perspective, is this the most viable way, do they actually make enough profit out of a character leaving no room for improvements?
I bet we are not going to get the same figure like Jakks figures. I just pray that we don’t get too figures too cartoonistic like Winnie the Pooh!
